This site is dedicated to the memory of my beloved wife Lindsey, who tragically passed away during our honeymoon in 2015. Here, I hope to share our story – a whirlwind romance that began with friendship, blossomed into love, and was cut far too short.

Lindsey and I first met in 2013 when she hired me for some home repairs. Despite an instant connection, we started as friends due to our 20-year age gap and her relationship status at the time. But as we worked side-by-side on a bathroom remodel, our bond deepened. Just 18 days after our first official date, I proposed. A month later, we spontaneously married in my parents’ front yard. Though our time together was brief – only 168 days of marriage – it was filled with joy, laughter, and profound love.

Through this website, I aim to honor Lindsey’s memory by recounting our experiences together and the impact she had on my life. From our initial meeting to our impromptu wedding and the tragedy that befell us in Cozumel, I’ll share the details of what I’ve come to call “the best short story ever.” I hope that by telling our tale, I can keep Lindsey’s spirit alive and perhaps offer comfort to others who have experienced similar loss.
